A man was hit by a car and deserted on the side of a Renton road Tuesday morning.
The victim, a 55-year-old man from Renton, was found near Hoquiam Avenue Northeast and Northeast Sunset Boulevard around 6:15 a.m. He was transported to Harborview Medical Center with severe head injuries.
According to police, the victim was walking on the side of the road when he was hit from behind by a car. Officers believe the car was traveling under 25 miles per hour at the time of impact because the victim still had his shoes on.
The car fled the scene, but officers have a vague description: they are looking for a white Subaru with a hood scoop, last seen northbound on SR 900 (Sunset Boulevard).
