OLYMPIA, Wash. -- Police are investigating the murder of a soldier stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord who was found stabbed to death in an Olympia apartment.

The body of Nathaniel Ollis, 29, was found in an apartment at 522 Lilly Road Northeast around 4:00 p.m. on Friday. A person called 911 and reported seeing a body in the apartment.

The Thurston County Coroner identified Ollis and determined he died from multiple sharp force injuries to the head, neck, torso and upper extremities.

Ollis is from Maine.
