Olympia Firefighters responded to two suspected arsons on Saturday morning.  Fire officials say the first fire at Pioneer School, 1655 Carlyon, was discovered at about 7:30 am when the fire alarm in the school activated.

Responding firefighters found that a fire had been set in available combustible materials that were outside the school against the gym wall.  Damage was estimated at about $10,000. 
 
At about 9:00 am, while fire crews were still at the first fire, a second call for another fire outside a school was received.  The second call at NOVA school about a mile away at 2020  22nd Avenue SE. was discovered by a staff member of the school.  This fire was set in a garbage container outside the school.  The fire was out and cold by the time it was discovered.  Damage was estimated at about $5,000.
 
Olympia Fire Department and Police Department are investigating and are asking that anyone with information call the Fire Department at 360-753-8348 or the Police Department at 360-753-8300.
