OLYMPIA, Wash. – A young man crashed a Taekwondo fundraiser on Tuesday night and ran off with the donation jar.

Students from the U.S. Martial Arts Center were hosting the fundraiser at the Round Table Pizza on Marvin Way to come up with enough money to attend an international tournament in Colorado Springs later this month.

Last night at a man ran into the pizza place, grabbed the jar filled with money, and ran.

David Hurley, a Junior Instructor at the school chased him and called the police. He helped lead officers to the suspect who was arrested. The jar was eventually located, but the cash was gone.

The students range in age from 7 to 18, and they still plan to keep raising money to attend the tournament on June 21.
