Investigators want to know what happened to an 80-year old Morton man.

William "Bill" Osborne disappeared Monday, hours after planning a hunting trip for the next day with his son.

The son, who traveled to Morton from his home in Portland, Oregon found Osborne's house empty and his vehicle missing.

According to Morton Police Chief Daniel Mortensen, Osborne turned off his cell phone at about the same time that he purchased the hunting license.

Mortensen said that was not unusual and that Osborne frequently turned off his phone when he wasn't using it.

There is no active search underway, the chief said, because they have no idea where Osborne might have gone.

Police are asking anyone who might have seen Osborne, or his vehicle, a 2003 Silver Dodge Dakota pick-up with Washington license B67640P to call Morton Police at (360) 496-6636.
