Editor's note:  An earlier report that a suspect photo issued by police was related to the Kent fatal shooting from this morning. The suspect photo is related to a fatal shooting Renton from last week.

Police are looking for a suspect after a shooting in Kent’s East Hill neighborhood Thursday morning left one man dead.

Kent police said neighbors reported a fight and gunshots outside a home around 5 a.m. in the area of the 13100 block of SE 210th place at the Laurel Springs development.

A man in his 30s was hit by gunfire and killed.

"Pops, then a pause, then a whimper/cry and then a third pop - at which point I knew something had just happened, so I got out of my bed, got dressed, ran outside my house," said a neighbor. "I walked right outside my driveway and I noticed to my right I saw three ladies around what was the body on the ground."

Police from Kent and Auburn and the King County Sheriff's Office responded to the call and set up a large perimeter in the area to search for the gunman. They continued to canvas the area through the noon hour.

Police say they only have a vague suspect description and were investigating what lead up to the shooting.
