PACIFIC, Wash. -- Police in the south King County community of Pacific say they've arrested a 19-year-old man after a 13-year-old boy was found slain in a bedroom of his family's apartment.
Officers say the 19-year-old is the boyfriend of the slain boy's 16-year-old sister.
Pacific police spokeswoman Stephanie Shook said officers were called to the apartment complex about 3 a.m. Friday by a man who said his 13-year-old son and 16-year-old daughter were missing. Officers found the boy dead of unspecified "homicidal violence" in a bedroom.
Police located the girl and the suspect at the boyfriend's home in nearby Algona. The girl was treated at a hospital for minor injuries.
The dead boy was not immediately identified.
Police planned to continue questioning more people in their investigation over the weekend. They expect the King County Prosecutors Office will file formal charges early next week.
