FEDERAL WAY -- Police said they are investigating a report that a child was groped by a man inside the Walmart Supercenter in Federal Way.
The incident reportedly took place around 7:30 p.m. on February 10th. Police said a man groped a 12-year-old girl, who was with her mother, as he walked past the child in an aisle.

The man is described as 5'7" with a chubby build and black hair. He was wearing glasses and a black leather trench coat when he entered the store alone and targeted the girl, according to Detective Matthew Leitgeb.
The girl's parents and employees followed the man through the store while police were called, but the man managed to leave the scene in a dark colored car with a sunroof.

Thursday night shoppers and nearby business owners learned about the police investigation.

"I think it is pathetic and people need to pray," said shopper Yolanda Logan.

"Just to think something like that could happen around here is pretty scary," said salon owner Lorena Vielmas.

Police want the public to see surveillance photos as they continue to try and identify the child molestation suspect.
Anyone with information should call Det. Leitgeb at (253) 835-6783.
