When police arrived at the couple's home, the wife told them, "Help! He wouldn't let me call! I need help!"

The 51-year old victim told officers that they had gotten into a fight at about 1 a.m. and during the fight her husband punched her in the face 10 times. She says she took his cell phone and he lunged toward her. As they fell to the ground she her her leg snap. A police report indicates the woman had a black eye and a curved left leg.

The woman says her husband told her that her leg was just swollen and that he was afraid that if he called for help he would go to jail.

The suspect is being held for second-degree assault, unlawful imprisonment and interfering with reporting.
