EVERETT, Wash. – Dozens of tow trucks formed a procession Saturday to honor a fellow driver who was killed in an accident last month.
Matt Pitts, 33, was killed and his 12-year-old son injured Nov. 19 in a rollover crash on I-90 west of Spokane. The father and son were headed to Montana for a hunting trip when the truck they were in hit black ice and rolled off an embankment.
To honor Pitts, Dicks Towing organized a procession of tow trucks before a memorial gathering Saturday at the Tulalip Resort Casino. The truck Pitts usually drove was on a trailer towed behind the truck leading all the others. His son rode in that truck.
