The chairman of the Snohomish County Council was arrested Thursday night for driving under the influence, Mukilteo Police said Friday.
Officers said Brian Sullivan was pulled over on SR 525 after a 911 caller reported a car driving erratically along the Mukilteo Speedway.
Sullivan took two breath tests after he was pulled over and blew twice the legal blood alcohol limit, police said.
Sullivan was cited for DUI and released.
Sullivan was mayor of Mukilteo before being elected to the council. A council staffperson said Sullivan was not in the office on Friday afternoon.
