A recall petition against Snohomish County Executive Aaron Reardon has been thrown out.
Skagit County Superior Court Judge John Meyer dismissed the petition because the paperwork was not properly filed.
The petition was filed by Gold Bar attorney Anne Block. It claims Reardon broke state campaign laws by using his executive assistant and other public resources for political fundraising and lobbying.
Block indicated she would refile the petition.
Reardon was the focus of a Washington State Patrol investigation into allegations he misused public resources. In June, Island County Prosecuting Attorney Greg Banks decided there was insufficient evidence to charge Reardon with official misconduct.
