Neighbors rescued two children who fell through an icy lake in Everett on Sunday.

It happened at Beverly Lake on 75th Street Southwest. Richard Oleson heard the boy and girl yelling for help and grabbed a raft he just happened to have on his back porch.

He rowed out to the middle of the lake where the two kids were struggling to stay afloat.

"I grabbed the two children. The boy first was giving up and the little girl was panicking because she thought I was going to leave her. I made her swim to me,” he said.

Another neighbor grabbed a rope and helped Olsen and the two children to safety.

The kids were taken to the hospital and are expected to be OK.
