Rail service between Everett and Mukilteo has once again been stopped due to mudslides.
A spokesman for Burlington Northern Santa Fe says there were six more mudslides hitting the tracks Thursday morning.
The tracks have become vulnerable after recent heavy rains, some of the slides are as big as six feet deep and 30 feet wide.
BNSF says freight trains are rolling but Sound Transit Sounder and Amtrak trains have to wait 48 hours for safety. In the meantime, rail passengers are being bused to their destinations.
There was a mudslide in the same area on Monday which hit a freight train on the tracks and derailed several cars.
