Everett Police say a man walked into a business on Saturday morning, walked around the counter, took out a metal pipe and started striking a female employee.
Police say it was just after 11:40 a.m. when the man walked into the business in the 2600 block of 16th St.
Police say he made no demands and did not say anything prior to hitting the employee, a 54 year-old Everett woman.
After hitting the woman the suspect threw the cash register to the ground and broke it. He took only the cash drawer with the money before walking out of the business.
Witnesses watched the man get into a waiting vehicle, which headed towards Broadway Ave.
The suspect is described to be in his mid to late 20s, about 5'7", somewhat slim build at about 160 pounds. He wore a light and dark colored baseball hat with a logo on the front, a dark jacket and pants.
The vehicle is described to be an early 2000's model beige or silver colored minivan. Witnesses stated it was possibly a Chrysler. The vehicle was driven by a white female with dark shoulder length hair and sunglasses. A male passenger was also in the vehicle.
The victim was transported to Providence Medical Center - Colby campus for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
