EVERETT, Wash. – A car hit and killed a pedestrian Wednesday afternoon, blocking several lanes on Highway 99 in South Everett.
It happened around 4:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes at Lincoln Way. Check your traffic
Witnesses told the Washington State Patrol that the pedestrian tried to cross the highway, but tripped and fell, then was hit by the car.
All southbound lanes were blocked as well as one northbound lane during the investigation. Sign up for traffic text alerts
WSP initially only identified the victim as an older man. He did not have any identification. The driver of the car, a 30-year-old Everett man, is OK but very shaken.
