Neighbors found a man lying in the road in the 3100 block of West Mukilteo Boulevard. He had been ejected from a nearby Jeep in a crash. The people who found the man began CPR, but were unsuccessful and the man died on scene.

Everett police officers say the Jeep was traveling westbound on Mukilteo Boulevard when it sideswiped an eastbound vehicle, traveled back through its lane and struck the guardrail on the north side of the road.

A person unknown to officers believed to be associated with the Jeep ran as the officers approached the vehicle. Officers were not able to locate the person initially, but eventually found the man. He is currently detained for questioning.

A third individual, a female, also believed to be associated with the Jeep remained in the vehicle and has been detained by officers after being transported to a hospital.
