Everett police are looking for a male suspect who attempted to abduct a female high school student on her way to school Monday morning.

Just after 8 a.m., the Everett High School student was walking to school near the 2300 block of Wetmore Avenue when a male in a vehicle stopped next to her.

The man asked her if she wanted a ride. When the student refused and kept walking, the suspect got out and attempted to pull her into the car.

She was able to pull free and run to school. The student was not injured.

The man is described as a heavy-set African American around six-feet tall. He is in his 20s with a mustache and brown curly hair.

The suspect was driving an older, tan four-door sedan.

Anyone with information should call 911 or the Everett Police Department tip line at (425) 257-8450.
