SEATTLE – Local and federal law enforcement officers conducted a series of raids Wednesday and Thursday, targeting drug traffickers in Washington and three other states. The two raids were called Operation Black Reign and Operation Black Ice.
Officers raided multiple locations across the state. Some of the cities include Seattle, Lynnwood, Everett, Edmonds, Tacoma, Burien, Shoreline, Kirkland, Mountlake Terrace, Kent, Marysville, Everett, and Snohomish.
The raids involve trafficking of methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin. Firearms and cash were also confiscated.
Fifty three people have been indicted in the two cases, 45 of them arrested today and yesterday, for allegedly conspiring to distribute drugs, including heroin and methamphetamine, and money laundering, according to court documents.
Raids are also being conducted in Colorado, Texas and Utah.
