Snohomish County Democrats have selected three candidates to replace Aaron Reardon, who left office Friday in the middle of his third term.
Sheriff John Lovick, Rep. John McCoy and Todd Nichols were named Saturday. The Snohomish County Council will make their selection on Monday. The man they choose will serve until November, 2014, when a public vote is held.
Reardon has been investigated but never charged with using public resources on his campaign and with a mistress.
In a recent interview with KING 5 he again denied misusing taxpayer money but said, "We all make mistakes."
Reardon announced in February that he would step down at the end of May. He hasn't said what he'll do next.
