EVERETT, Wash. -- Police have arrested five people suspected to have taken part in a Sunday morning home invasion robbery in Everett.

The robbery took place around 6:30 a.m. in the 3200 block of 18th Street, said Everett Police Department spokesman Sgt. Ryan Dalberg.

Three masked men made contact with a man and forced their way into the man's residence. A fight between the man and the three men ensued and ended with the robbers subduing the victim.

During the fight, two women entered the residence and began removing property, said Dahlberg.

At one point, the victim managed to free himself and take one of the robber's masks off.  The robbers immediately fled the scene, but the victim managed to get the car's license plate, which he gave to police.

A little while later, police spotted the suspects' car with the described license plate driving in Marsyville. Officers pulled the car over and discovered the five suspects inside the vehicle.

The five suspects were taken into police custody.
