A man who attacked a bicyclist near Sequim last weekend may have left behind a clue.
A 22-year old old woman was knocked off her bike Saturday morning by a man wearing a Halloween mask.
She was riding along the Olympic Discovery Trail west of the Dungeness River, near the parking area off Runnion Road.
Clallam County Sheriff's deputies recently found a knife the attacker may have left behind. It has an intricately carved handle of a hawk's head. The blade also has engraving work.
The woman kicked and screamed and was not seriously injured in Saturday's attack.
The suspect is described as:
--white male
--6-feet tall, 200 pounds
--short, light brown/blonde hair
--wearing black hooded sweatshirt, long khaki shorts
--red, black and white Halloween mask
