One person died in a crash Monday morning north of Gig Harbor, near the Purdy Spit.
Pierce County authorities reported two cars collided on SR 302 at Goodrich Drive Northwest.
At 7:45 a.m., Washington State Patrol troopers reported one person died in the crash.
Traffic was detoured around the scene.
The circumstances surrounding the crash are not known yet.
