A search is underway to find a North Kitsap man who didn't return from a hike on Tuesday.

Alfred Kenneth Engh, 75, was last seen at his residence in Kingston around 9:30 a.m.

He left the house unaccompanied to hike the trails on Pope Resource property between Northeast State Highway 104 and State Highway 3 Northeast, south of Port Gamble.

Engh is white male, 5-foot 11-inches, and weighs approximately 190 pounds. He was last seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and blue jeans with suspenders.

Recently, Engh sustained a fall and had a previous hip fracture that may be a factor. He does not suffer from any form of mental incapacity.

The Kitsap County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Unit is coordinating the search involving ground, horseback, and canine crews.
