BREMERTON, Wash. -- Bremerton Police said they have identified and spoke to a person of interest in their investigation into a possible serial killer.
Officers began looking into the connections among three cases, including two murders, earlier this month. FBI agents were called in to review the possibility of a serial killer at work.
Sara Burke, 19, was stabbed to death in May of 2011 and Melody Brannon was killed on February 3. A man was attacked in June of 2011 in the same area as the two women, near Bremerton High School.
Bremerton Police announced Tuesday they have made contact with the person of interest in the case, the man pictured in a composite drawing, but did not identify him by name.
No arrests have been made.
Officers are still asking anyone with information to contact them at 360-473-5481.
