A Lynden man was killed early Tuesday when his truck was rear-ended.
Oracio Padilla, 23, died in the crash on SR 546 outside a dairy farm where Washington State Patrol troopers said he worked.
The crash happened just east of Nooksack Valley High School around 4:30 a.m.
According to troopers, Padilla's Chevrolet S-10 truck slowed to turn left into the farm. He was hit from behind by a Ford F-250 truck driven by Tanner Tjoelker, 19, of Blaine.
At the time, Tjoelker was also headed into work at a nearby farm, troopers said.
Neither weather nor alcohol and drugs were a factor in the crash,
Troopers have not made a decision regarding any charges as of yet.
The crash blocked both west and eastbound lanes of SR 546 until 8:00 a.m.
