Bellingham Police are investigating an attempted rape at a coffee stand over the weekend.
Around 4:20 a.m. on Saturday, a woman prepared to open Cruisin Coffee, located near 1000 Lakeway Drive.
She said the suspect attacked her after asking if she was open. She told police the suspect opened the door and groped her, pushing her to the floor and grabbing her clothes.
The woman fought the suspect off, who was last seen on foot northbound on Lakeway Drive.
The suspect is described as:
--white male in his 20's
--About 5'8" to 5'10", medium build
--dark eyebrows
--wearing Carhart-style pants, gray hooded sweatshirt with red stripes, baseball cap
