Skyline High School senior quarterback Max Browne has been named one of the 16 nominees for the U.S. Army Player of the Year.
Browne has completed 74 percent of his passes for 3,164 yards, 34 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions this season on the way to an 11-0 record for the Spartans.
He has committed to play college football at USC.
The Spartans' next game is a playoff match-up against Roosevelt, who they defeated in the regular season 57-14.
The six finalists for the U.S. Army Player of the Year will be announced November 28.
