A man is in the hospital after he was struck by a car while in a crosswalk Wednesday night in Kirkland.
Police say the accident happened just before 9:30 p.m. at the intersection of NE 116th St and 100th Ave NE.
The 17-year-old driver of the vehicle was not injured in the incident. Police say while he was turning onto Northbound 98th NE on a green light he struck the pedestrian while he was in the crosswalk.
Police say the driver was cooperative and there was no sign that alcohol or drugs were a factor in this accident.
The pedestrian was taken to Harborview Medical Center with possible fractures to his skull, ribs and pelvis.
