Drivers in Seattle should be aware of more road closures and major events happening this weekend. For updated traffic conditions anytime, download the Seattle Traffic App.
-- The State Route 520 floating bridge will be closed 11 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday between Montlake Boulevard in Seattle and Interstate 405 in Bellevue for construction work on the new bridge.
-- The intersection of Aurora Avenue North and N. 85th Street will be closed 10 p.m. Friday through 6 a.m. Monday for concrete paving. Some Metro bus routes will be affected.
-- The ramps to and from Interstate 5 at Mercer Street in South Lake Union will be closed 11 p.m. Friday through 5 a.m. Monday for work on the Mercer Street improvement project.
-- Southbound Fairview Avenue will be closed between Mercer Street and Republican Street from 7:30 to 11 p.m. Friday. Detour and route maps can be found here. All South Lake Union businesses will still be open.
-- 10,000 bicyclists will be involved in the Seattle to Portland (STP) bike ride begins at about 5 a.m., leaving from The University of Washington. Waves of 500 to 900 riders will leave every 10 minutes. All riders should depart by 7:30 a.m.
