A 41-year-old woman was arrested for vehicular homicide Tuesday for allegedly causing a head-on crash that killed one person in Kirkland.
Police said suspect Kelly Hudson's vehicle crossed the center line on Juanita Drive around 9:00 p.m. and hit a car with four people inside.
One person died at the scene. Three other passengers were injured and taken to the hospital.
At the time of the crash, dispatchers were on the phone with a 911 caller who was following Hudson's car, according to the Kirkland Police Department. The witness had called to report a possible drunk driver.
Police said Hudson displayed signs of intoxication at the scene.
After she was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, Hudson was booked into the King County Jail.
