BELLEVUE, Wash. -- Bellevue police is asking for the public's help in locating the driver in a hit-and-run collision Thursday night.

The incident happened around 6:24 p.m. at the intersection 140th Avenue NE and NE 8th Street at a Shell gas station. A driver of a blue King County Metro vanpool car was exiting the gas station onto 140th Avenue NE when he/she was struck by a Ford pickup truck that was speeding through the intersection.

The truck, described as a 1990s to early 2000s white Ford F-150 pickup, fled the scene onto 140th Avenue NE. Police say the pickup has damage on its passenger side front corner and is missing the passenger side front headlight and mirror.

The driver of the vanpool suffered serious injuries in the collision and was taken to Overlake Hospital. That driver's condition was unknown.

Police released a photo of the suspect vehicle taken from a WSDOT cam in Bellevue. Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 911 or Bellevue police at 425-452-5244.
