Seattle-based Tully’s has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection, the Puget Sound Business Journal reports.
Tully’s also announced it would close more stores considered “unprofitable” in the new future. Seattle stores in Wallingford, Madison Park, Columbia Tower, Fourth Avenue and Union Street and stores in Redmond and Kirkland will close Sunday.
In a press release, Scott Pearson, president of Tully's parent company, TC Global Inc., said the company would continue to have a "formidable presence" in the Puget Sound area, despite the store closures.
