The National Indian Gaming Commission is expected to announce Tuesday an increase in the Indian gaming industry’s 2012 gross revenues.

The annual announcement from the federal regulatory agency is based on independent audit reports from 425 Indian gaming establishments operated by 237 gaming tribes in 28 states.

This has been a big week for local tribes when it comes to gaming. The Northwest Indian Gaming Conference and Expo just wrapped up. Industry leaders discussed agency operations, regulatory issues and unveiled new games you are likely to find on local casino floors.

Members of the Northwest Indian Gaming Association say tribal casinos have infused about $3.2 billion to the state's economy including 27,000 jobs and $1.3 billion in wages.
