Northwest techies have been traveling for years to the southwest to participate in the SWSW music, film and interactive conference for years. Now, they won't need to hop on a plane to get their technology fix.
Organizers are aiming to host a Seattle Interactive Conference at the Washington State Convention November 2 and 3, reports Geekwire.com. They hope to draw more than 3,000 to the 2-day first-of-its-kind event with scheduled speakers, including Paul Berry, chief technology officer of The Huffington Post, Rand Fishkin, founder of SEOMoz, and others.
The conference will also feature a "Battle of the Geek Bands" and a salute to Pearl Jam on their 20th anniversary.
