Boeing confirmed to KING 5 on Saturday that it is investigating a problem with the composite structure of its 787 Dreamliner.

The problem, called delamination, occurs when some of the carbon fiber composites separate from each other.

The company said it is not a safety issue. KING 5 learned that at least three airplanes are involved, but there may be more.

The delamination problem occurred in the rear of the airplane's structure.

No. The only problem is people opening their mouths about subjects they don't understand or know about.

Wow, this is huge, about 5 years ago I read on a news site comment something of an engineer saying that the composite was filled with a lot of problems but they were sweeping it under the rug. If it's true, can you say government bailout?
