A local man started a company in his bedroom. Now, Big Fish Games is the largest computer game distributor of its kind in the world.

Twelve years ago software developer Paul Thelen was sick with a serious undiagnosed illness, and just plain sick of working for big corporations.

He founded Big Fish in 2002. And got to work creating video games for the masses.

After an accurate diagnosis and successful surgery, Thelen finally got better and Big Fish got bigger.

With more than 600 employees today, the company is the world's largest producer and distributor of casual games. They connect players with more than 1 million games a day.

Most 'Big Fishers' will tell you they have a blast on the job. The company has been voted one of the best places to work in Seattle.

All that positive work and play is focused squarely on the future. For Paul Thelen this is one big fish he's happy to have landed.

Take a look inside the world of Big Fish Games.
