MASHANTUCKET, Conn. (AP) — Bartenders and beverage servers at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticyt have voted in favor of having union representation.

The National Labor Relations Board says 190 workers voted yes and 145 voted no on Saturday on the question.

The president of Local 371 of the United Food and Commercial Workers Union calls it a victory for the 400 bartenders and other workers who would be represented.

Union president Brian Petronella says he expects Foxwoods will probably file an objection to to the election, but the two sides will eventually negotiate a contract. He says wages, health care, pension benefits, and a grievance process will be among the major issues.

Foxwoods says the vote won't be official unless the NLRB certifies it after any legal challenges are resolved.

Good, the unions will see a resurgence because of the corporate pillaging of the middle class, maybe we will be ok . The repubs, are going even more right, like apologising to BP.
