The Lincoln Navigator, a hulking holdout from the era of bling and cheap gas, is getting a fresh face.
Ford Motor Co.'s luxury Lincoln brand says the 2015 Navigator has more than 20 upgrades, including bigger wheels and a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine to replace its old V8. It also has Lincoln's signature split-wing grille and wraparound taillights.
It's the first update for the Navigator since 2007.
Sales of big luxury SUVs have slowed since the Navigator debuted in 1997. Navigator sales peaked in 1998 at nearly 44,000. Lincoln currently sells around 8,000 Navigators per year.
Lincoln will unveil the Navigator next month at the Chicago Auto Show. The 2015 version goes on sale this fall.
