DETROIT (AP) — General Motors says its November U.S. sales rose just 3 percent from a year earlier.

The nation's largest automaker says it sold more than 186,000 cars and trucks, led by the Buick and Cadillac brands.

Cadillac sales rose 30 percent from a year earlier, while Buick sales were up 22 percent. But sales from GM's top-selling Chevrolet brand were flat and GMC sales fell 1 percent.

Sales of the Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck — GM's biggest seller — fell 10.4 percent. Cadillac SRX crossover SUV sales rose 13 percent.

GM's car sales rose 19 percent in November, while trucks were down 11 percent.
