LOS ANGELES (AP) — Frank McCourt is expected to resume testimony in a divorce trial that could decide whether he has to share ownership of the Los Angeles Dodgers with his estranged wife.

The trial is scheduled to pick up again Wednesday morning.

McCourt spent about 45 minutes on the stand Tuesday, saying it was his wife's idea to come up with a postnuptial marital agreement that would protect her assets from his creditors.

Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon will decide if the agreement is valid.

Frank McCourt contends the pact gives him sole ownership of the storied franchise, while Jamie McCourt, the former CEO of the Dodgers, believes the agreement should be thrown out.

She also says the Dodgers, the stadium and the surrounding property should be split evenly under California's community property law.
