May 4. 1 a.m. Media are invited to the late-night landing of Solar Impulse, one of the world's most advanced solar-powered airplane, at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, as well as a news conference scheduled for later in the morning. Solar Impulse is arriving from NASA's Moffett Field outside San Jose, Calif. on the first leg of its 2013 Across America mission.

Friday, 12:00a.m. (midnight) — Media should park in the special events lot, located just east of Sky Harbor's West Cell Phone lot (west of the Terminal 2 parking structure). From there, walk north across the street.

12:15 a.m. — Media to be escorted to a secure location for a view of the landing. (asterisk)(asterisk)(asterisk) Photographers, videographers and reporters must bring news media credentials or identification. This event is not open to the public.

Saturday 1 a.m. — Solar Impulse lands (the plane is visible at night with numerous landing lights along its 208-ft (63m) wingspan)

1:30 a.m. - 1:45 a.m. — Solar Impulse Pilot available for interviews

May 4. 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. Arizonans for Gun Safety, the Phoenix Police Department, and Mayor Greg Stanton are collaborating "Groceries for Guns" exchange. Members of the public are encouraged to bring their unwanted guns in exchange for gift cards from Bashas' which can also be used at Food City and AJ's Fine Foods. Those exchanging handguns, shotguns or rifles will receive a $100 gift card per gun and assault weapons a $200 gift card per gun.
