March 11. Noon. MARS ROVER TEAM — Assemblymember Chris Holden (D-Pasadena) will present five members of the NASA/JPL Mars Curiosity Rover Team on the floor of the state Assembly. Those being honored are: Adam Steltnzer, Danny Lam, Jennifer Maxwell, Justin Maki, Kelly Clarke. A life-size model of the Curiosity Rover will be taking up residence on the West steps of the Capitol all week.

March 11. 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. A "Prescription Drug Abuse - ENOUGH!" rally celebrating March as Prescription Drug Abuse Awareness Month that includes exhibits and information tables. A press conference beginning at 12:30 p.m. will feature Senator Mark DeSaulnier, Assemblyman Tom Ammiano, parent advocates and others sharing personal impact stories and their recommendations for curbing California's prescription drug abuse.
