Jan. 28. 1 p.m. ASSEMBLYMAN WAGNER KOREAN DIGNITARY — Assemblyman Donald Wagner, other members of the State Assembly and the Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce welcome Tae Hee Yim to the State Capitol. Yim is the National Minister of Labor in South Korea and former member of the Korean National Assembly. Yim will be in California for two weeks and hopes to establish business partnerships between South Korea and California. Assemblyman Wagner will also be presenting a resolution at the State Capitol that day which will honor Korean War Armistice Day in July.

Jan. 28. 1:30 p.m. MEDI-CAL CONFERENCE CALL — Press conference is to announce the official filing of a request for an en banc rehearing of the case CMA et al vs Douglas et al. The case involves Medi-Cal payment cuts to providers authorized by AB 97 in 2011. The request comes on the heels of a reversal of the Federal District Court's decision by a three-judge panel of the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.

Jan. 28. 3:30 p.m. BASE TOUR — To be fully apprised of the situation as the Pentagon secures money to rebuild the 43,000-square-foot civil engineering building at Beale Air Force Base heavily damaged by a fire earlier this week, Congressman John Garamendi (D-Fairfield, CA), his staff, and staff from the offices of Senator Dianne Feinstein and Senator Barbara Boxer will inspect the site on Monday and meet with Colonel Douglas Lee, the 9th Reconnaissance Wing Vice Commander. Media must arrive by 2:15 p.m. to ensure they can enter the base. Media should RSVP to the 9th Reconnaissance Wing Public Affairs Office no later than 8 a.m. on Monday.
