Aug. 17. 6 p.m. LAPD SUMMERFEST —The Los Angeles Police Protective League's Eagle & Badge Foundation will present its inaugural "SummerFest" event, which includes tastings from more than two dozen wineries, gourmet food trucks, live music from Blue Jazz, featuring the LAPD's own Carol Davis, and casino poker, blackjack, craps and roulette. Proceeds will go toward paying for health-related expenses for LAPD officers and their families in need. "Southland" actors Ben McKenzie, Michael Cudlitz and Shawn Hatosy, J.K.
