A woman has died after of a stolen pickup crashed into her SUV during a police pursuit in Everett on Sunday night.
The 40-year-old Mukilteo woman driving the SUV was extricated and taken to Harborview Medical Center on Sunday with life-threatening injuries.
Everett Police said the Bothell Police Department spotted the stolen truck around 11:20 p.m. Sunday and attempted to stop it.
The driver allegedly did not stop and entered a parking lot in the 1500 block of 164th Street SE where it collided with another vehicle, then backed into a police car.
The chase moved to Interstate 5, then onto SE Everett Mall Way and eventually ended when the pickup collided with the SUV at the intersection of Rucker Ave and Pacific Ave.
The pickup flipped upside down and slid onto the sidewalk. The car ended up on its side and struck a natural gas line, rupturing it.
The 33-year-old Seattle man suspected of driving the pickup was arrested and taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect is also a person of interest that the Washington State Patrol Auto Theft Task Force wanted to interview.
