GOVERNMENT CAMP, Ore. -- Everyone from a Meteorologist to a mascot took part in the pond skim spring tradition at Mt. Hood Meadows.

KGW’s Matt Zaffino came out to watch the wild and crazy skiers and snowboarders try pond skimming.

The goal of course is to make it across the pond before sinking. There were also skiers dressed as cartons of milk. Others wore bikinis, and one guy was dressed as a Viking.

Participants get points for making it across, having the best costume, and best fan reactions.

The blazers mascot, Blaze the trail cat, was also on hand. The winner got a free trip to Hawaii.
