MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Wash – A Washington State Trooper lost control of his patrol car on the wet road and crashed while pursuing a suspect on Interstate 5 Friday morning.
The trooper attempted to stop a vehicle heading northbound near 220th Street Southwest.
A State Patrol spokesman said the trooper spun out and smashed into the guardrail before coming to a rest in the HOV lane.
The trooper was not hurt.
The driver he was attempting to stop got away.
