Seattle's Asian community raised more than $180,000 Saturday during their annual Walk For Rice.

The 2.5-mile run and walk around Seward Park raised money for the Asian Counseling and Referral Service Food Bank in Seattle’s International District.

Evening Magazine's Kim Holcomb helped emecee the fundraiser.

ACRS spokesman Owen Leis said 5400 people make more than 120,000 visits to the center each year.

This specialized food bank helps people by giving ethnically comforting Asian Pacific food staples such as rice, tofu, ramen and fresh fruits and vegetables
