A man who was injured in a shooting at a Gig Harbor market in August has died of his injuries.

David Long, 40, of Wauna died Saturday, at Tacoma General Hospital.

Police said Laura Katja Sorenson, 20, entered the Peninsula Food & Market on Aug. 11 armed with a gun and shot two men. Both victims were seriously injured; Long was shot in his torso and 78-year-old Lee Crider was shot in the leg. A bullet ricocheted and injured a third victim, a cashier.

According to court documents, Sorenson told police she wanted to kill herself, but first wanted to feel what it was like to kill someone else.

Sorenson pleaded not guilty to attempted murder and assault charges. She is in the Pierce County Jail on $1.5 million bail.

There is no immediate word on whether the charges will be upgraded because one of the victims has died.
